The Gospel Soul Circus choir was born in 2002 in Ronchi dei Legionari with the aim of presenting gospel, spiritual and traditional African music.
Thanks to its participation in important cultural events and numerous collaborations, the Soul Circus has reached an excellent level of notoriety not only at a regional level.
Now in its eighteenth year of activity, the Gospel Soul Circus Gospel Choir clearly distinguishes itself from the inflationary contemporary gospel scene, made of pre-recorded tracks and colorful tunics and remains faithful to its original project of bringing the sounds back to the soul of black music This does not preclude the way for new projects that include interaction with other local artistic realities in the world of music and dance.
In 2016 and 2017 the Soul Circus was part of the C'mon Rise Up - Rock meets Gospel event within the Trieste Calling the Boss Festival dedicated to the music of Bruce Springsteen and also contributed to the realization of the Trieste edition of Playing for Change, recording great success on both occasions.
The choir prides itself on the collaborations it has managed to achieve by combining Gospel, Rock and other musical genres, in order to remember that the rhythm will always be connected to the beating of a heart, where there is a heart that beats there is music and music is joy for the soul.
